I love watching Kat-tun's weekly talk show called "Cartoon" ( go figure ). They invite celebrity guests onto the talk show and interview them. It's funny and I often find myself laughing ( and wishing I could meet Kamenashi in real life ).
I enjoy all episodes but my favourite ones are the ones with Becky:-
This is only part 1 of 3 parts. Catch the rest on youtube. She's a real bubbly girl and very optimistic too. I love her impressions.
The other one is Maya Miki. A gorgeous older Japanese actress:-
This is part 2 of 3 parts.
It always cheers me up. I wished I understood Japanese so I wouldn't have to wait for the subs. They're such a long wait.

Love Hate...
So, my sick days are ( almost ) over and it's back to uni for me. Oh woe, oh woe. I have a love-hate relationship with my studio sessions. I hate having to wrestle the 4x5 and the c-stands every week.
My lecturer saw me wrestling with the c-stand; trying to push it into position. The c-stand is one big huge heavy mother****** where we lock our cameras on. He chuckled and asked me who was winning. I grunted, "looks like the c-stand is" as I huff and puff; trying to unlock its position. And after 1/2 a year with the 4x5; I'm still somewhat lost with the mechanics of it.
Other than that, I kinda like studio. We have to score 65 and above as average if we want to major in studio next year. I'm worried I might not make it. We'll see, we'll see.
This week, our assignment is cosmetics/ paint:-
Cosmetics for me, of course!
Every week, during pre-pro - I brainstorm on my idea for my shoot. I am an art director. Sometimes, I am too much of an art director and forget to be a photographer. I am more concerned about the composition rather than the lighting or the angle. That's when my lecturer calls me "Miss Art Director".
I have yet to choose what kind of cosmetics I'm going to shoot and if I'm going for a conceptual shot or a product shot. Much needs to be done. I have been in my bed for the past 3 days that my shape has been molded into the mattress. It's time to resume uni life. Sigh.

Sick and Miserable
I am sick. Being sick in Melbourne sucks because doctors here don't give you antibiotics. I was so sick and I had to walk to the clinic. Then the doctor told me to just go home, sleep and drink lots of water. Wah lau. I had fever, sore throat, flu and a chesty cough ( all the phlegm is stuck in my chest ) and he told me to go home to sleep!?
Then my cousin brought me to a private hospital where they only had the emergency unit available. They told me mine was a low priority case and I probably had to wait more than 5 hours. Argh. I went to another clinic who charged $55 for a weekend fee! He finally gave me antibiotics because of my chesty cough.
Today, I'm feeling a little better but this is such a horrid experience. I had a lot of phone calls from my mom, my dad, my cousin and Marionette. They all thought I was going to die. At one point, I really thought I was going to die.
Being sick in Melbourne sucks!! The medical attention here is horrible. That's why people always try to avoid falling sick here. I'm miserable and I miss home where all the doctors give you medication to get better asap.
*Mutters* Go home and sleep? Seriously....!?

Pixar Exhibition
The Pixar exhibition's going on at ACMI right now. The student price is $10; the normal price is $15. We were all students and Abel lent Marionette a student card - so we all paid $10 to go in. With the exchange rate of RM:AUD$ being 3:1, we managed to save RM15 each! :) *Cough* We're cheapskate students but this is the life here.
That lil' fella from Cars. Marionette said it was a real Ferrari. Mehhh. I didn't find it all that great since I didn't enjoy Cars very much.
It had the effect of rain and projection. I don't know what's the technology behind it but I think Marionette and Oppa would.
Sully and Mike!! We look like we're tourists from China. -_-
The legendary lamp. I think it's name is Luxor? And of course, the Pixar ball. This was in front of the ACMI.
Marionette's gay pose; really loving the ball.
The exhibition was pretty good. They brought in artists' drawings, resin models, color charts, etc. They also had videos on the process of creating an animation which you could watch. My favourite part was the Toy Story zoetrope. All the Toy Story characters came to life! You can view it at YouTube though it's prohibited to film it. That's why I'm not posting the video here.
It was inspired by the Bouncing Totoro zoetrope:-
*Taken from Ghibli's website*
I want to see this!!!! Dear Marionette, please bring me to Japan one day to visit the Ghibli Museum.
I brought souvenirs for my sisters and mother but nothing for myself. I'd like to buy souvenirs from Ghibli Museum. Oooo, so cute. I like Spirited Away the best. Right, the point of this entry is Pixar. So, for those who are in Melbourne right now - it's worth to pay a visit to ACMI. The exhibition ends in October, I think.

Marionette & The Boys
When Marionette was here in Melbourne, he wanted to meet Ravin and Joyi. So did they; they wanted to meet him too. At first I thought it would be fine but as time tick tocked, I decided that they shouldn't meet. Boy, did I get it from Marionette.
"So suspicious. Why can't I meet you friends?" he asked.
On the other hand, the boys were asking when they could meet my boyfriend because they wanted to see how "well" I could do. (-_-") Say until like I am super un-desirable. They were insulted because I didn't want to introduce them to him.
"Why?! You shy of us!?" they asked. "You scared we all gang up and talk about your bad points, right? I think he wants to meet us. He would want to meet the boys who are hanging out with his girlfriend."
Wah lao...all these men, so sensitive. I just didn't think I could handle the three of them at once.
Finally, on the day Marionette was supposed to leave - we bumped into the boys at the State Library. We were there to look at an exhibition ( another pictorial entry some other time ) and as we were leaving the library, they were entering it.
Today, I met up with the boys and they told me about their feedback on Marionette.
"Wah, your boyfriend has a goatee ar. So cool," Joyi said.
"What do you mean?" I asked, sniffing.
"The last time you showed us a picture of your boyfriend, we were expecting a geek. He didn't have any goatee back then. When we bumped into you; we were looking around for some geek-"
"-and your boyfriend looks like this Korean detective we saw in a movie recently-"
"-so we were wondering why your boyfriend wasn't around and why this Korean dude was staring at us until you introduced him to us."
It all happened very fast and the way they related their experience back to me was quite amusing. Marionette looks like a Korean detective, huh?
"He has a firm hand shake! He's a real man!" Joyi told me.
"Yah man.." Ravin agreed.
(-_-") What the... They just analyze everything right down to the way he shook their hands?
"Since he doesn't prefer to drive auto cars either, I think we can really hang out!" Joyi said.
So now, they all think that they would be able to hang out with Marionette ( plus talking all about my bad points ) and that I should've let them all hang out together when Marionette was here.
Noooo nooo nooo. They're all going to bully me! I can see it now...
"Michelle's such a whiner. Michelle hates to walk long distances. Michelle can't cook, can't sew, can't wash. Michelle's this, Michelle's that..."
I guess it all worked out well. Marionette likes the boys, the boys like him. Phew.

Awesome Night
I told myself I had to bring Marionette to eat Grill'd burgers at St. Kilda. One night, we went with my cousin although I forgot to snap a picture of Marionette eating his burger. He loved the burger! :)
With Abel and my cousin, Amanda. They really helped me show Marionette a good time here in Melbourne. Best of times.
Outside a bakery at St. Kilda.
We knew nothing would come free and after St. Kilda; Marionette was whipped and had to wash Amanda's car. With a dollar, he had a few minutes to foam the car up ( it sounds so horribly erotic ).
Then he had to wash the foam off. We were all standing aside and instructing him to wash the car well.
And finally, the boys wiped the car dry. It was a new experience for Marionette to wash a car in Melbourne. I couldn't stop laughing because he was taking his own sweet time to wash it. Everyone was going "hurry up!!" because his few minutes to foam and wash the car was running out.
Later on, we went for karaoke. They had tons of songs including Japanese songs because in Melbourne; the amount of international people isn't small. I even managed to find a classic song by Farrah named "Bagaikan Puteri" - this song was so hot when I was a young teenager.
The whole night was so fun - burgers, car washes, karaokes, then going home in the early morning and me nagging Marionette to bathe ( while he shivered and shook his head because it was about 4 degrees ). One of my favourite nights during Marionette's visit.

When It Rains, It Pours
So now that I finally have my laptop back, here're some pictures from Marionette's time in Melbourne:-
There was a design festival happening at Federation Square. This is the poster exhibition with the theme of "when it rain, it pours". Marionette liked the posters and kept asking me if they were for sale. I patiently told him, "no, no, no!!!".
Marionette looking sad because the posters were not for sale.
We thought of riding the ferris wheel but it seemed to be going at a very fast pace! Instead of 20 minutes to reach the top, it seemed more like 2 minutes to reach the top. Also, it cost us $7.00 per person. Being cheapskates, we just watched.
Look at the dramatic sky. And Marionette's slightly pained expression.
This thing was pretty huge. Marionette liked the fact that it was made of mosaic tiles.
There were red buckets everywhere for the theme "when it rains, it pours". We didn't know where people were going to use those buckets to collect water.
Going up the stairs to ACMI; where the Pixar exhibition was happening but that's another post. More pictures to come!
Alrighty, I'm trying not to feel self-pity and die of loneliness in my room here. Uni has already started and it's tough work this semester. Gambatte, Misheru!!

Lonely Night
Tonight, Marionette flew home. It feels a little sad going to sleep alone tonight. Sigh. I can't really sleep now because he'd usually be playing his game while talking to me till I sleep. Tonight, it's just silence. :( Boo hoo.
I'll post up pictures soon. Now he's flying home, I have my laptop back in my possession. I feel reluctant to delete World of Warcraft even though it's slowing my laptop down.

Marionette in Melbourne
Since Marionette's here for his holiday, he's been playing computer games at home. Besides that, we've been just hanging out around the city. Uni starts next week. Arghhhhh!!!
Marionette playing Wii.
I brought him to this place near my home. It's actually a small alley but it leads to this place.
There was a secret garden...!
We went to Docklands too.
Marionette's getting used to taking trams instead of driving around in his Alfa Romeo.
He constantly complains I walk too fast but look at everyone! No one really strolls when walking is one of the main means of transportation.
We went drinking last night with my cousin and friends. Everyone had a kissing shot and here's ours. *Blush*
That's crazy ( drunk ) Abel in the background.
I can't really type much. I'm sitting near the window and my fingers are numb. It's exceptionally cold tonight. Did I mention uni starts next week? Did I mention "arghhh"??
